Port Royal Member Guest

On Saturday, July 3, Port Royal hosted the annualmember Guest tournament. Featuring gift bags for attendees, interactive on-course beat-the-pro competitions, a champagne reception following the round, and a collection of wonderful prizes, the tournament was a smashing success resulting in a tremendous amount of positive feedback from both members and guests.  The tournament certainly helped to establish Port Royal as the island's premier tournament course.

The tournament was won by Matt Gorrell and Joe Fassler with a score of 65, followed closely by Nitin Aggarwal and Stephen Smith with 66 and Mickey Caines and Rickey Caines at 67.  Closest to the pin on #16 went to Luis Gerardo. Longest Drive on #9 went to Brian Hawitt with the ladies' long drive on #14 going to Elizabeth Caufield.

Congratulations to the winners and a special thanks to the management and staff of Port Royal and 64° for the exceptional event and wonderful service.


 

Port Royal Monthly Medal Results for June

The monthly medal was held on June 6. The golf course continued to dominate the players, with nobody in the field being able to break 80.  Low ball was leroy Burch with an 81.

Port Royal AGM

On Sunday, April 18, 2010, Port Royal held their annual general meeting. The meeting consisted of treasurer's report, president's report, and election of officers.

The committee for the 2010-2011 season is:

Port Royal Club Championship

The Port Royal Club Championship was played over the 3/20-3/21 weekend. Playing from the black tees and with a bit of breeze, the course proved to be a difficult challenge.  Matt Gorrell emerged victorious, winning in a playoff after losing his commanding lead with a score of 9 on the difficult par-3 16th hole.

Port Royal Golf Club Members' Annual Dinner - Cancelled

*The event has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Port Royal will host an annual members' dinner on Friday, March 26 at 64°, Port Royal's new restaurant. The event will feature honoured guests, raffles, and prize presentations. 

Cocktails: 7:00 p.m.

Dinner: 8:00 p.m

Price: $75/ticket (includes two drink tickets)

Tickets are available from the pro shop or from Ewen Maclean (524-1284).

Jackets requested, ties suggested.
