Weather plagued this years Bermuda Open Championship forcing the committee the cancel two of the four rounds at Port Royal.  As a result this years event was a 36 hole tournament for the professionals and Amateur divisions, and 18 holes for the Senior divisions.

 

Daniel Augustus has added his name to the Bermuda Open trophy today after weather shortened the event. Daniel was 4 shots back of defending champion Jordan Mitchell after the first round but was able to come back in the second round with a solid round of 70, one under par. Jordan Mitchell finished in 2nd place one shot back.

Mitchell Campbell was crowned the men’s amateur champion after his second round of 74 jumped him ahead of David Smith and Adam Mattatall. Campbell finished 2 shots ahead of his nearest rival.

After 9 years of competing for the ladies stroke play championship, Ann Symonds has added her name to the trophy after she was able hold off the charge of defending champion Katrin Burnie and junior golfer Elizabeth Parsons.

Hav Trott was successful in defending his senior title while Gladys Chambaz was newly crowned the ladies senior champion.
